Redbreast 27 Year Old is a cask strength single pot still Irish whiskey in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 55.9% ABV. It is the oldest permanent release in the Redbreast range.
The whiskey is made only from triple distilled pot still whiskeys, matured for no less than 27 years in bourbon, sherry and ruby port casks and left untouched.
The nose brings mango, pineapple, blood orange and ripe red berries, with fresh herbs, wood spices, vanilla, treacle toffee, walnuts and toasted oak. The palate is rich, with red plums, black cherries and summer berries, a prickle of chilli oil, then vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and red pepper. The finish is long, balancing ripe fruit and wood spices.
