Redbreast Cask Strength 12 Year Old is a single pot still Irish whiskey in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 55.8% ABV. It is made from a mash of malted and unmalted barley, triple distilled in copper pot stills and matured in sherry casks.
This is the cask strength version of Redbreast 12, showing the whiskey in its natural, full-flavoured state.
The nose brings exotic fruit with a little citrus, dried apricot and sultana, along with pot still spices and toasted wood. The palate is rich and mellow, with fruit, pot still oils and spices, vanilla sweetness and a touch of oak. The finish is long, with fruit and spices giving way to toasted oak.
