Redemption Rye Whiskey (46%)

Redemption Rye is an American rye whiskey bottled at 92 proof, which is 46% ABV. It is aged for a minimum of two years. The mash bill is 95% rye and 5% malted barley. Federal law requires only 51% rye grain for a whiskey to be called rye, and the makers chose to go far beyond that. They say this pushes the flavour forward and heightens the character of the rye grain. The aim behind it is to bring back the classic American rye cocktail.
