Redwood Empire – Emerald Giant Rye Whiskey (70cl, 45%)

Redwood Empire Emerald Giant is a four-year-old American rye whiskey, bottled at 45% in a 70cl bottle. It combines several rye whiskeys matured in new charred oak barrels. It is named after the Emerald Giant, a coastal redwood in Redwood National Park known for its fast growth. Like other bottlings from the brand, the label refers to a protected redwood and carries a quotation from the naturalist John Muir. Clove, orange peel, baking spices and dried apricot sit within the spicy, fruity profile. The nose combines cool mint and cedar with fresh citrus and rye spice. The palate brings bold rye and black pepper alongside soft caramel, creamy vanilla and oak, and the finish ends on a light citrus note.
