Reservoir Virginia Bourbon Whiskey (70cl, 50%)

Reservoir Virginia Bourbon Whiskey is a bourbon from Reservoir Distillery in Richmond, Virginia. The mash bill is 100% corn, grown in Virginia, and the distillery handles every step from mashing to bottling itself. It matures in small alligator char quarter casks, which put more of the spirit in contact with the wood. This 2022 bottling is 50% ABV, non-chill-filtered and without added colour. The nose brings vanilla, corn and toast with a chalky note. On the palate come charred wood, pencil shavings, coffee and pecan in a medium to full body. In the long finish, tobacco leaf slowly gives way to sweet cherry.
