Rieger's Kansas City Whiskey is a blend of straight bourbon, light corn whiskey and straight rye whiskey, each aged at least four years, with a small amount of 15 year old Oloroso sherry from a bodega in Jerez. It is bottled at 46% ABV (92 proof) in a 75cl bottle.
Sherry leads the nose, with caramel and butterscotch, then a corn whiskey backbone. The palate brings sweet corn, dried fruit, almonds and bitter chocolate, and the finish is robustly spicy from the rye.
