Rittenhouse Rye is a straight rye whiskey from the USA, matured in virgin oak casks and bottled at 50% abv in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
Dried fruit and strong spices such as clove and allspice rise on the nose, together with cocoa and butterscotch, orange peel, cinnamon and caramel. The palate is dense and fruity, with orange, chocolate, cinnamon bark, nutmeg and oak. The finish is spicy and fruity, with a touch of copper, orange marmalade and spice.
