Rock Hill Farms Single Barrel is a Kentucky straight bourbon produced at Buffalo Trace Distillery and bottled at 50% in a 75cl decanter-style bottle. Each bottle comes from an individual barrel.
It is made to a high-rye recipe, which adds warming spice, and is matured in new charred oak. The name recalls historic farmland along the Kentucky River.
The nose has vanilla, toasted grains, dried fruit and marshmallow. The palate brings dark fruit, buttery toffee, roasted nuts, cocoa and cracked black pepper, and the finish is long and warming, with honey, dark chocolate, vanilla and spice.
