Romano Levi Grappa Moscato (75cl, 40%)

This is a grappa from the Romano Levi distillery in Piedmont, made from the marc of Moscato grapes and bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The grapes come from the Moscato d'Asti DOCG villages of Neive, Trezzo and Treiso. The spirit is produced in a single batch on the distillery's open-flame alembic still, then rests for six months in 225-litre barriques made from a variety of woods. The short maturation keeps the delicate, fruity character of the Moscato. The palate is light and sweet, with notes of orange, peach and red apple.
