Roper's Hold 8 Year Old Straight Rye is a Canadian rye whisky, blended and bottled by True Wild Distilling in Calgary. It is a limited release at 47% ABV.
The blend is made from sourced straight rye whiskies, each eight years old, brought together from three different sources.
The nose is warm, with caramel and black cherry, dried fruit, gentle oak and rye spice. On the palate it is rich and full-bodied, with brown butter, red berries, seasoned oak and Christmas spices. The finish is long and warming, with woody rye spice and dried fruit.
