This is a 13 year old Rosebank, a Lowland single malt distilled in 1980 and bottled by Cadenhead's for its Authentic Collection. It is bottled at 59.3% and has a straw colour.
Neat, the nose is a high-octane malt with a little lemon. Water, to roughly 45%, brings out lemon zest, fresh mint, moss and fern, wet stones, apple juice, beeswax and heather honey. The palate is very lemony neat; with water it turns spicy and peppery, with tropical fruit. The finish is long, with lemon, green tea and plenty of pepper.
