Rosebank – 1990 Limited Edition 21 Year Old (53.8%)

This is a 1990 Rosebank Limited Edition, a 21 year old single malt Scotch whisky bottled at a cask strength of 53.8% ABV. Rosebank is a distillery that has now closed. The nose is floral and sweet, with Parma violets, rose petals and a hint of lavender alongside fresh citrus, caramel and a touch of bicarbonate of soda. The palate is fresh and clean, with a tingling mouthfeel, good acidity, ripe plum skins, faint menthol and light pepper. With a little water it turns silky, with floral sweetness, fruit salad and orange water. The finish is warming and long, with a lemony acidity that comes through.
