This is a 1981 Rosebank, aged for 20 years and bottled at a natural cask strength of 62.3% in the Rare Malts Selection. Its colour is straw. The nose opens with lemons, oranges and tangerines; with water it moves towards lemon zest, fresh mint, moss, fern, a little paraffin, wet stones, beeswax and heather honey, with a hint of sea breeze. The palate is very lemony, adding pepper, green tea, green apple and kiwi once water is added, with a little peat in the background. The finish is long, on lemon, green tea and pepper.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
