Rosebank – 20 Year Old 1981 Limited Edition Rare Malts Selection (70cl, 62.3%)

A 20 year old Lowland single malt from Rosebank, distilled in 1981 and bottled in 2002 as a limited edition in the Rare Malts Selection. It is bottled at a natural cask strength of 62.3% in a 70cl bottle. The nose is gentle and floral after an initial solvent note, with ash rather than smoke, seaweed, boiled spinach and a maritime character. On the palate come gentle ashes, lemon curd, sea spray, chilli heat, salted caramel and honey, with a light texture and a lingering citrus sourness alongside bitter wood.
