This is a 21 year old Rosebank, a Lowland single malt distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2011 as a Diageo Special Release. It is bottled at 53.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is a vatting of refill American oak and refill European oak casks.
On the nose it is floral and mildly herbal, with cereal, tropical fruit and a hint of damp soil. The palate is somewhat tart, with orange and pepper, and the finish dries to coffee and spicy oak.
