This is a 21 year old Rosebank single malt from the Lowlands, triple distilled in 1992, a year before the distillery closed. It was bottled in 2014 for Diageo's Special Releases, in a limited edition of 4,530 bottles.
The whisky matured in refill American oak casks and is bottled at 55.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is floral with orange citrus, lychee, grapefruit and a little gentle spice and malt. On the palate come grapefruit Turkish delight, light sponge cake and marshmallow, and the finish is drying with a measured oakiness.
