A 30 year old Lowland single malt from Rosebank, the first vintage release, bottled in 2020 at 48.6% ABV. It was triple distilled in 1990, three years before the distillery closed.
It matured for three decades in a combination of 62% refill sherry butts and 38% refill bourbon hogsheads. It is non-chill-filtered and natural colour, and 4,350 bottles were produced. The whisky comes from some of the last maturing Rosebank stocks, acquired by Ian Macleod Distillers in October 2017.
The nose is crisp and creamy with soft floral aromas. Vanilla, mint and gentle syrup show on the palate, ending in a spiced pear finish.
