This Royal Lochnagar 12 Year Old was released for House Baratheon in the Game of Thrones single malt collection in 2019. It is a Highland single malt from Royal Deeside, bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle and presented in an illustrated collector tube showing the Baratheon stag.
The whisky matured in a mix of American and European oak, and the spirit was made using worm tub condensers.
The tasting notes describe a bright gold colour and a nose of toffee, red apple and green woodiness with light floral notes. The palate is sweet and full, with vanilla, dried fruit and gentle oak spice, and the finish is long and softly sweet.
