This is Royal Salute 21 Year Old, a blended Scotch whisky, in the Emerald edition. It comes in an Emerald Spode ceramic flagon, wrapped in an Emerald velvet opera bag. The flagon was created to celebrate the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Royal Salute was first made in 1953 to pay tribute to the British monarchy, and takes its name from the 21 gun salute. Emerald is one of three colours, with Ruby and Sapphire, used to symbolise the Imperial State Crown. The brand's home is said to be the Strathisla distillery.
