Royal Salute 38 Year Old Stone of Destiny is a blended Scotch whisky bottled at 40% ABV. It is made from rare single malts and grain whiskies, all aged for at least 38 years, and it is named after Scotland's ancient coronation stone.
It comes in a granite-textured porcelain decanter that echoes the Stone of Destiny, on which Scottish monarchs were crowned.
The nose combines honey, ginger snaps, dried fruit, leather, old books, sawdust, florals and cedar. On the palate come red apple, raspberry, honey, vanilla, polished oak, mandarin, grapefruit zest and marzipan. The finish is long and fruity, with spice.
