Royal Salute The Director's Celebration Reserve is a blended Scotch whisky released in 1990 to mark Chivas Brothers receiving the Queen's Award for Export. It is a blend of whiskies aged between 15 and 30 years, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose combines raisins, figs and dates with polished oak, leather, toffee and vanilla cream. The palate is velvety, with dark chocolate, roasted nuts, spiced orange, cinnamon and hints of smoke and malt. The finish is long, with fruit, spice and oak fading slowly into a dry note, touches of tobacco and old wood.
