Royal Salute The Hundred Cask Selection – Limited Release No. 2

Royal Salute The Hundred Cask Selection is a blended Scotch whisky from Chivas Brothers, released as Limited Release No. 2. The nose is deep and rich, with caramelised sugar, toffee, vanilla and espresso alongside dates, prunes and dried orange peel. On the palate it is dense and rounded, with a clear sherry influence that recalls Christmas fruit cake soaked in brandy, together with dark chocolate, nuts, almonds, honey and a little cinnamon. The finish is long and warm, with mixed nuts, raisins and coffee beans, and a gentle oak dryness with peppery spice.
