Royal Tokaji Red Label 5 Puttonyos Aszú 2018 Tokaji (50cl)

This is a 2018 Tokaji Aszú from the Red Label series, made from botrytised Aszú grapes including Furmint, Hárslevelű and Muscat. The 5 Puttonyos level reflects roughly 120 g/l of residual sugar. It comes in a 50cl bottle. The sweetness is held in check by lively acidity and a plush texture. It is suited to serving lightly chilled, with blue cheese, nutty desserts or fruit tarts. The nose offers poached peach, pear, apricot, grapefruit, orange marmalade, honey and floral notes. On the palate come apricot, white peach, ripe plum, marmalade, praline and crystallised honey. The finish is long, smooth and bright, with gentle spice.
