Sadler's Peaky Blinder is a small-batch, triple-distilled blended Irish whiskey, sourced from West Cork Distillers in Skibbereen, County Cork. The brand was developed by Sadler's Ales, a craft brewery founded in 1861 in the Black Country, and the label shows a police archive mugshot of a real gang member. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
The whiskey is finished in ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks and has a deep amber-gold colour with a light to medium body.
The nose is sweet, with blackcurrants, toffee apples and banana bread. On the palate come green pear and vanilla, then black pepper, dried orange peel and cinnamon. The finish is of medium length, with burnt fruitcake, ginger and light, dry wood.
