Sagamore Spirit Small Batch Rye is a Maryland-style straight rye whiskey, bottled at 46.5% in a 70cl bottle. It is made by blending high-rye and low-rye mash bills from non-GMO grains, distilled in Baltimore and blended in batches of up to 20 barrels. It is aged for 4 to 6 years in heavily charred American oak and proofed with limestone-filtered spring water.
The nose has caramel, toasted oak, vanilla, clove and warm baking spices. Peppery rye spice meets honey, brown sugar, citrus zest and dried fruit on the palate. The finish is smooth and warming, with soft herbal and sweet oak notes.
