Saint Liberty Josephine's Flat Head River is a straight rye whiskey made in Tennessee, then proofed with Rocky Mountain water and bottled in Montana. The mash bill is 95% rye and 5% malted barley, and it is aged for a minimum of five years in 53-gallon barrels with a number 3 char.
The nose is sweet, with vanilla, lightly charred wood and grilled peaches. On the palate come creamy spiced rye grain, oak and fresh earth, followed by vanilla and marshmallow into a creamy finish.
