Sakura Japanese Single Malt Whisky (43%)

A Japanese single malt from the Sakurao Distillery in Hiroshima prefecture, a distillery founded in 2018 and also known for Togouchi whisky and Sakurao gin. It is bottled at 43%. The whisky spent three years maturing in four kinds of cask: bourbon, new American white oak, sherry and mizunara. The nose is mild, with sultanas, oranges and peaches. On the palate there is sweet vanilla with a little bitterness and a fruity acidity. The finish is long and complex, with a light smokiness.
