Sakurao – 4 Year Old 2020-2025 First-fill Marsala Wine Cask #7162 Single Malt Japanese Whisky (70cl, 60%)

A four-year-old Japanese single malt from Sakurao Distillery in Hiroshima, released as a tribute to sixty years of Singapore's growth and achievement. It was distilled in 2020 and bottled in 2025 at 60% from a single first-fill Marsala cask, with 262 bottles filled. The label carries artwork by a Japanese artist showing a Torii gate, which marks the passage from the everyday to the sacred. The Marsala cask gives the whisky a deep amber colour. Raisins and strawberries lead the nose. The palate brings dates and oranges with a little caramel, and the finish lingers with berries and citrus.
