Sakurao Distillery 1st Release is a cask strength single malt Japanese whisky, bottled at 54% in a 70cl bottle. Its casks take on a hint of the aroma of the nearby Seto Inland Sea, and the colour is dark amber with a reddish tinge.
The nose has ripe grapes, orange and bitter chocolate. The palate is sweet vanilla with smoky undertones, subtle spiciness and moderate bitterness, and the finish is woody and smoky with a deep sweetness.
