Sakurao – Japanese Single Malt Sauternes Cask (70cl)

Sakurao Single Malt Sauternes Cask is a Japanese single malt from the Sakurao distillery in Hatsukaichi, in a 70cl bottle. The whisky spent three years in bourbon casks, then a further 18 months finishing in Sauternes casks. It is non-chill filtered and has no added colour. The spirit is distilled twice in an Arnold Holstein Hybrid still, made to order for the distillery to give an elegant, fruity whisky. The still's swan neck faces downwards to hold more ethers, and the spring water comes from the surrounding Oze river.
