Sakurao Sauternes Cask Finish is a Japanese single malt from Sakurao Distillery in Hiroshima Prefecture, which was founded in 2015. After its first maturation in oak casks, the whisky is given a second period in Sauternes wine casks.
That finish is described as bringing honey, apricot and dried fruit. The palate is both sweet and savoury, with a touch of oak spice and a lingering sweetness.
