This is a Japanese single malt from Sakurao Distillery on the coast of Hiroshima, finished in Sauternes wine casks and bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle.
The Sauternes finish is said to bring sweetness and a velvety mouthfeel. The strength is described as polished enough to take a little water.
On the palate it is described as orchard fruits such as ripe apples and juicy pears, with warm spice and subtle honeyed notes.
