Sall Whisky Distillery – Giljagaur Christmas Whisky 2025 (50cl, 50%)

Giljagaur is the 2025 Christmas whisky from Sall Whisky Distillery, bottled at 50% in a 50cl bottle. 540 bottles were filled. The whisky is unpeated. It spent three years in a first fill PX sherry hogshead, then was finished in smaller first fill ex-Oloroso quarter casks. The name comes from Icelandic legend. Giljagaur is the second of the thirteen Yule Lads, who come down from the mountains one by one in the days before Christmas. He hides in gullies and sneaks into the cowshed at night to steal the foam from the milk pails. The distillery's Icelandic head distiller brought the tale into the Christmas series.
