Sandy MacDonald Finest Blended Scotch Whisky 1960s

This is a blended Scotch whisky from the 1960s, carrying the Finest designation under the Sandy MacDonald name. The tasting notes describe an unusual character. The nose brings paint, glue, Demerara and cane sugar, liquorice and herbal bonbon, with a distinct note of metallic rust. On the palate it is intensely sweet and syrupy, with oil, corroded metal, rye and spice, concentrated and dirty in style. The finish is short to medium in length, spicy, with a metallic aftertaste.
