This is a 30 year old Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, distilled in 1991 and bottled independently by Sansibar Whisky. It is a single-cask release, bottled at 45.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is unpeated, with orchard fruit, citrus, waxy malt, vanilla and oak, and a subtle coastal influence.
On the nose there is ripe orchard fruit, citrus peel and vanilla. The palate moves from soft fruit and sweet malt to citrus, vanilla and delicate spice, and the finish is long, with dry oak and coastal freshness.
