This is a single-vintage Cognac from Grande Champagne, distilled from grapes harvested in 2000 and bottled at 44.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is unblended, so it reflects one harvest rather than a mix of years.
The spirit spent more than twenty years in French oak. Sazerac de Forge is a house founded in 1782 and revived under Sazerac, and this is its first modern single-vintage release.
It shows ripe stone fruit, exotic florals and warm spice, with a rich texture and a bright aromatic lift.
