Sazerac Straight Rye is a Kentucky rye whiskey aged for six years in new charred American oak barrels. The mashbill is roughly 51% rye, 39% corn and 10% malted barley, with the rye at the minimum level for the style.
The nose offers orange zest, clove, dried dark fruits, sweet corn and apple cider. The palate is medium sweet, with corn, honey, cinnamon and cloves. The finish is of medium length, with wood, nuts and mint.
