The Winter Edition 2023 is a Speyside blended malt from Scallywag, the fourth in its annual winter series. It was matured entirely in sherry casks and bottled by Douglas Laing at a natural cask strength of 52.5%, without colouring or chill-filtering.
The nose offers warm gingerbread, spiced oak and orange peel. Layers of cocoa and juicy berries follow on the palate, with nutty malt. The finish brings dates, forest fruits and winter spices.
