Scapa 16 Year Old is a single malt matured in first-fill American oak casks. It is bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and with natural colour.
Its style comes from a longer fermentation and unpeated malted barley, and the flavour centres on tropical and fruity notes.
The nose offers juicy mango and rich leather with vanilla cream and a touch of clementine peel. The palate is silky and creamy, with spiced apple pie, vanilla fudge, soft oak and pineapple baked with mulled wine spices. The finish is complex, fruity and lightly spicy.
