A lightly peated single malt from Scapa on Orkney, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. Glansa was introduced in 2016, alongside Skiren.
It is matured mainly in American oak, and the final part of its maturation takes place in a cask that previously held peated whisky. The smoke is gentle rather than dominant.
The nose shows ripe peach and pineapple with soft vanilla spice, followed by fruitiness, toffee, vanilla and caramel. The smoke stays in the background, and the finish is of medium length.
