Scapa – 10 Year Old (70cl)

Scapa 10 Year Old is a malt whisky from the Scapa distillery on Orkney, which was founded in 1885. It comes in a 70cl bottle with a redesigned label, and the bottle picks up the Orkney fishing boat as its motif. The distillery works with a single pair of stills, and one of them is the only Lomond still still in use in Scotland. Production is entirely by hand, and the sea air of the Orkney coast reaches the wood of the casks. The nose is honeyed and appley with a touch of banana. On the palate come vanilla pudding, mango, tea cake and citrus, followed by a light finish of green apple and gentle citrus.
