Scarabus 30 Year Old Limited Edition (70cl, 42.6%)

This is a limited edition Scarabus, a 30 year old Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle. It matured in first-fill bourbon casks and was bottled by Hunter Laing in 2025 at 42.6%, without chill-filtration or added colour. Sea breeze, salt and smoked ham give it a maritime, savoury character, with earthy notes alongside. Gentle peat, orange, raspberry, marzipan, toffee, vanilla and old oak sit behind. The nose brings smoked ham and sea breeze with orange, raspberry, marzipan and old oak. The palate is full-bodied, with earthy notes, maritime salt and smoked ham alongside mild peat, toffee, vanilla and citrus. The finish is long and smooth, leaving soft smoke and a salty sea note.
