Scarabus Cask Strength is an Islay single malt bottled by Hunter Laing at 57%. It is made from the whisky of a single Islay distillery. The palate is soft and creamy, with vanilla, peat and sea salt. The finish is warming, with notes of leather and vanilla. Hunter Laing was formed in 2013, when brothers Fred and Stewart Laing divided the former Douglas Laing & Co of Glasgow. The company runs its own bottling facilities in Glasgow, so it oversees the process from cask to bottle.
