Scarabus Sherry Cask Batch Strength Edition is an Islay single malt from Hunter Laing, bottled at 57% in a 70cl bottle. It is a vatting that draws on first-fill sherry casks, with some of the whisky maturing entirely in first-fill Oloroso. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
Peat smoke, dark berries and sea salt show on the nose. The palate brings warming leather and chocolate sweetness, and the finish is rich, lingering and fruity.
