Scarabus Islay Single Malt Sherry Cask Edition (70cl, 46%)

An Islay single malt from Scarabus, bottled at 46% abv. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. This edition is the first to be refined in first fill sherry casks, and some of the whisky matured entirely in first fill oloroso casks. Typical Islay peat sits alongside a chocolatey sweetness and a fruity finish. The nose brings peat smoke, dark berries and salty sea air. The palate shows leather notes and chocolatey sweetness. The finish is very long, with lingering sweet fruit.
