Scarabus Sherry Cask is an Islay single malt from Hunter Laing, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is a vatting finished for the first time in first-fill sherry casks, some of which held the whisky for its whole maturation in first-fill Oloroso. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
Islay peat smoke, dark berries and sea salt lead the nose. On the palate come warming leather and a chocolate sweetness, followed by a rich, lingering, fruity finish.
