Schramsberg Blanc de Noirs 2022 North Coast (75cl, 12.8%)

Schramsberg Blanc de Noirs 2022 is a traditional-method sparkling wine from California's North Coast, at 12.8% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is 89% Pinot Noir and 11% Chardonnay, the Chardonnay added for zest and backbone. The Pinot Noir comes from cool, maritime vineyard blocks, from Anderson Valley in Mendocino to coastal Sonoma and Marin and Carneros. Schramsberg first made this style in 1967. The nose offers yellow peach, apricot, lemon zest and elderflower, with puff pastry, glazed orange and almond paste. The palate is tart and zippy, with citrus, honey, custard and lemon bar, and a long finish carried by vibrant acidity.
