Schramsberg Brut Rosé 2021 North Coast (75cl, 12.6%)

Schramsberg Brut Rosé 2021 is a dry rosé sparkling wine from the North Coast of California, made in the traditional method and bottled at 12.6% vol. It is a blend of 73% Pinot Noir and 27% Chardonnay. The fruit comes from along the coast, from southern Mendocino County to northern Marin County: 64% Sonoma, 14% Mendocino, 14% Marin and 8% Napa. A few small parcels of Pinot Noir are fermented in contact with their skins, which adds depth and a subtle colour, while Chardonnay brings spice, structure and length. The nose shows ripe raspberry, strawberry, watermelon and white peach, with hints of lemon-lime, orange zest and ginger. The palate is bright with berry and citrus, and tart acidity carries it to a juicy centre and a refreshing finish.
