Scottish Leader Supreme 15 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky from Burn Stewart Distillers, bottled at 40% ABV. It is made with a higher proportion of single malt and is aimed mainly at Taiwan and other Asian markets.
On the nose there is smoked cheese and toasted wood alongside stewed berries, dried apricot, rubber and crème brûlée; a little water brings out honey, fresh sawdust and bran. The palate is sweet and concentrated, with red fruits, toffee and caramelised fruit, a soft grainy middle and gentle spice. The finish is clean and dry, with lemon zest and subtle oak.
