Seagram's VO Gold is an eight-year-old blended Canadian whisky, bottled at 40% in a 750ml bottle. It is made at the Valleyfield distillery in Quebec.
The mashbill is centred on rye, with smaller proportions of corn, wheat and barley. Valleyfield makes its own sweet corn distillate on site, and rye distilled elsewhere is blended into the whisky.
The nose brings peach, floral notes, caramel and restrained oaky rye spice. The palate is smooth and mellow, with caramel, nougat and mild citrus, and the finish is warm, with a gentle fade of rye spice.
